Tampon-tax protest turns Zurich fountains red

Thirteen fountains in the city of Zurich turned blood red on Tuesday when women activists staged a dramatic protest against a tax on tampons.

Members of the feminist collective aktivistin.ch poured food dye into fountains, including those at the Stadelhofen railway station and at Helvetiaplatz, between 6.30 and 7.30am.
